Welcome to the Aspen Valley Film "Story" Board. Mostly this is a place to sit back relax and just gab. There is always that time (normally around 3am) when we're all sitting around the fake walnut formica table chewing 100 year old coffee..and that is when the stories start to roll.

Let's face it, in this business, you gotta have a sense of humor.

Adventures in rigging..who doesn't have one of these stories?

So there was this dance troupe-and the final dance segment had the lead hook a 'biner to his belt with his back to the audience and magically "fly" up into the air. Simple right?

Depends who's doing the rigging.

The guys in the fly loft though it was too difficult to actually figure out how much the sandbag should weigh-so they drew straws-and picked the guy who "looked like he weighed the same as the other guy" Yep. you guessed it-each night the carabiner gets hooked to the belt and the expert in the flyloft jumps off the rail.

The only consession to safety was that he stapled glow tape to the bottom of his sneakers so that the stage manager could "see him coming"
